Authentic Change, uncovery© is not a stand alone 12 Step Program or a 12 Step replacement. Our philosophy of awareness acts to enhance the action of the program and invites greater enlightenment to the individual engaged. You can think of it as a way to increase your awareness and to enrich the connection process of a 12 Step Program.
If you imagine a 12 Step Program acting like the detergent that gets clothes clean, you can think of the awareness principles of Authentic Change, uncovery© as a additive that get your whites whiter and your colors brighter.
Whether someone is engaged in a 12 Step Program for drugs and alcohol, overeating, codependency, or one of the other established formatted 12 Step Programs of recovery, each individual comes to the rooms of recovery with commonality. There is a universal thread with all people who take the first step into recovery.
• Simply by attending your first meeting, the individual has declared a desire to do something different. • The majority of individuals have had a pattern in their life, where it was difficult for them to ask others for help. • There is the strong presence of “aloneness” in their basic existence that hinders connection.
The philosophy of Authentic Change broadens an individual’s awareness. When we were small children we were asked to memorize the Pledge of Allegiance, most people have to re-think the text to deliver its true meaning.
Authentic Change brightens the color of that thinking. It seeks to reveal the text of the Steps in a process of uncovery©. This eye-opening process of widening your awareness brings an individual from “contact” to “connection”.
Moving from “contact” (reading the words) to “connection” (living the message of those words) is an “authentication process”. We support you during this process. We help identify the action, descriptors, temperature, and the tense of the actual language. For example, each step contains 12 powerful action based messaging words. Move your curser over each blue word written below and uncover the hidden message.

How can examining the language provide you with greater engagement in a 12 Step Program?
The uncovery© program provides the opportunity to see the big in the small and the small in the big. It stretches your perspective so that you have the ability to see the big picture.
“Not until you can value and respect the magnificent detail of the leaf, can you truly appreciate and understand the grandeur and benevolence of the great forest.” uncovery© 2007 Kelly Rippon Like a skilled language detective we expose possibility connections in each step.
An appliance needs to connect to a power source to unite and accept electrical energy. If the appliance is not connected it is not broken; it is simply just without an energy link. By having greater awareness we increase that connection potential, linking you to a brighter, broader viewpoint and allow you to plug into the energy of the steps.
We have not tried to re-invent the wheel. Simply, we have identified the basic physics of the intended concept of the wheel. You may have the strongest, roundest most magnificent wheel on earth, but if it does not make “contact” with its path, it is only a fancy doorstop.
Let the door of ignorance slam shut. Engage your wheel of life on a path of recovery and discovery through the process of “uncovery”© ! We offer one to one coaching sessions in person, via phone or video conference. We also offer Action / Support Group teleclasses throughout the year. Click here to view schedule.
